This is very interesting. It gives people the chance to explore different ideas from other people. Technology is growing so fast itis hard to keep up with all the new inventions and ideas. So holding this conference is a good chance to get people cauught up on current and future technology.
Welcome to yet another online community! This community, TED.com, is a community of professionals in the fields of Art and Science. The goal of this community is to share ideas, trends, and discoveries. TED.com can inspire the minds of others through the incorporated use of modern technology. By using digital media to share these all these things, it is easier for them to convey all points of the presentations through the delivery. It is often difficult to write that which is better spoken.
This site TED is basically a form of a online community that allows users or people of similar interest to read about new and very useful information that pertains to technology, entertainment, and Design. Its not quite like other communities because tis one is not just a person talking or stating their opinion on anything, however, this site gives you actual issues. or events. I guess allot of the material that is placed on the site is copy written. So its cool that you can get this information for free on this site.
The TED give the audience a chace to comment and give their social issues. Its just another online communication where people come together and socialized, and talk. The technology grows fast and there is so much out there. Where to start?

This website is very interesting website because it gives you a chance to communicate with people that have the same intrest. This can be a great opurtunity for people looking to better themselves
communicating with others with the same goals.
I do not find this site even remotely persuading me into joining it.
Bottom line is they are saying they are a group of people dedicated to bringing a plethora of ideas, thoughts and methods of technology, entertainment and design. Where is the "design: in this site? its lame boring colors and super mediocre. Get some color, some movement. Entertain me while simultaneously informing me. Dont hint towards being good at anything, just be good. To me it is all about under promising and over delivering.
Unfortunately I'm going to have to disagree with Ben and I hope he doesn't strike me down, but being an individual I have to say this is a very techie website. I think if your a uber geek or nerd this would be nirvana for those types of people. I find it interesting but it doesn't really peak my interest. I'm not saying that later on down the road I maybe more interested in it but by that times comes there will be a new and shinier website that really speaks to me.
I PERSONALLY THINK THAT THIS SITE WILL BE HELPFUL IT STATES THAT IT BRINGS TECHNOLOGY, ENTERTAINMENT, AND DESIGN TOGETHER AND FROM THE APPEARANCE AND READING THE PAGE I FEEL THAT IT DOES.THE PEOPLE WHO VISIT THIS SITE ARE MAINLY HERE TO LEARN AND SHARE IDEAS WITH ONE ANOTHER AND TO KEEP UP WITH NEW INVENTIONS AND KEEP UP WITH OTHER TECHNOLOGIES.
Ted.com or "The Ted" is a site that's all about sharing ideas, stories, and entertainment that many people would consider "out of the box" or maybe inspirational. I watched several of the video presentations -- some were interesting, some didn't hold my attention, some inspirational and some were comic genius (if you haven't seen the one by Ze Frank you should).
There is usually something that you can take with you from these presentations and that's what I like about this site. It gets you to think differently and about new ideas. New ideas are what keep society moving forward.
i believe ted.com is a very good website and it can be used to give out news and informatiom i found the arts and science part very interesting and smart
I guess this site is for people to explore whats out there and explore about stuff they may not have know about. I guess it's also for people who share the same kind of interest and a way for them to communicate with each other. :)
